Q: 6s - receiving weird text messages in Chinese.

These messages are coming twice every minute and I don't know how to stop them from appearing.  What's really strange is that they don't appear as a message alert.  I only see them if I open up to text.

iPhone 6s, iOS 9.3.2

Did it ever stop?  Let me know what you did or if anyone else had this happen.

The same thing has just happened to me, no alert either, its scary. Also just saw an article on reddit of it happening to some one else. They received the same message as I did before it all happened.. this is it ...that my Apple id had been " used to sign in to iMessage on an iPod named 'iPod touch.'" I do not own an iPod touch.

I changed my password and want to do the 2 step security changes but have to wait 2 days

Anybody now if this is malicious or just annoying ? thanks K

Hi, the same thing has happened to me in the last few days. On Tuesday 20th September, I had an alert pop up on my phone (iphone SE) saying "your apple id and phone number are now being used for iMessage on a new Mac". I quickly changed my apple iD password and erased all authorised devices for my apple id but today (Thursday 22nd September) i've found 26 messages sent on Tuesday, 25 of them to +86 numbers and one mysterious one to a +63 number.

    Can anyone help with this??

Same thing happened to me yesterday. I changed the password and security questions. I also found some reoccurring events on my icloud calendar. Apple did not explain what is happening, how, or why.

The same thing has just happened to me. I have removed the devices but the text messages are still being sent from my number. How do I stop this from happening? Has apple released anything to help the people this is happening to?

I have this issue too, does anyone have a solution? I am logged out of my own account, and I am unable to send out/receive any iMessages from my friends. The notification I have received is "Your Apple Id and phone number are now being used for iMessage on a new Mac. If you recently signed into "C13-M-2" you can ignore this notification". Does anyone know what C13-M-2 is?

    All,

I had to call Apple Care *MULTIPLE* times. The issue, *crossing fingers* seems to be resolved. Here's what I did:

    1) Immediately upon getting notification, changed my personal email password.

1a) Went into airplane mode to stop the texts from coming in.

    2) Called Apple Care, and made sure to change my Apple password and security questions.

    3) During same call as #2, removed any 'unknown'/'unfamiliar' computers/machines

    4) Verified that itunes was not charged; called credit cards etc.

    5) Contacted my cellphone company and notified them of the scam. Most companies have a number that you can text that will register fraudulent/spammy numbers. If your carrier has this, use it.

    6) Continue to monitor account(s) for suspicious activity.

    7) Consider adding two-step verification.

Long story short, that no one will ever take ownership of: According to my 4th or 5th Apple Care Senior Rep, hackers made a very believable looking Apple website and email which said "X registered/logged onto your Apple ID if you don't recognize this, contact Apple." We unsuspectingly clicked that link, which took us to the phony Apple website, which prompted us to enter our password. We did so, and that is the end of the story.

These people are scam artists. They're using our id's to send spam messages. Hence the multiple texts a minute.

Apple, has not taken any ownership of this, or sent out a notice to users warning them of this scam.

    Good luck to all.
