Sep 16, 2016 10:46 AM in response to Rachel2202by AAKR,★HelpfulI just want to say that, as soon as upgrade to iOS 10 I face similar issue. Not all my custom lyrics show in my iPhone, just very few of them. Even though, I can access/view of all them on my iTunes. Some people suggested to use "Get Lyrical" app.

Sep 16, 2016 10:48 AM in response to AAKRby Rachel2202,Thanks, I saw a few people recommending this but I didn't want to go down that route. Looks like I might need to though.

Sep 18, 2016 2:40 PM in response to AAKRby Johnnytuc333,it must be a bug with old lyrics not caching, so a simple edit is needed hence the extra line ....
all new lyrics go in fine as you stated....

Sep 18, 2016 3:39 PM in response to Johnnytuc333by AAKR,★HelpfulI totally agree, this might be a bug because I have added recently few songs with custom lyrics and they appear fine. But not the old songs. Hope they fix this soon.

Sep 18, 2016 8:32 PM in response to Rachel2202by kaitrice,I've found a couple temporary fixes to this problem. One is to uncheck the "custom lyrics" button (make sure you copy the lyrics because this will get rid of them) and sync with your phone. Then recheck the button, add back the lyrics and re-sync. They'll show up.
Another option is to uncheck the song itself and sync it so it removes the song from your phone. Then recheck the song and sync again. This is easier because you don't have to worry about copying the lyrics to save them and you can easily uncheck multiple songs with custom lyrics.
These two are only temporary though. I've found that the custom lyrics only show on my phone for a while before I have to re do the process. Sometimes it's after a few hours and other times it's after a few days. I really hope they fix this.
ETA: I just re-read your question and this might not be helpful for you. I misunderstood what you were asking. Sorry

Sep 23, 2016 12:23 AM in response to AAKRby iBleedIn6Colors,Hi!
I'm also experiencing this issue that some of my lyrics vanished since upgrading to bugOS 10. In my case it's because I use line breaks instead of carriage return.
If you use carriage return at the end of the lines you are fine.
If you use line feeds, the Music App won't show the lyrics for this song at all.
To check this, copy your lyrics and paste them into an empty Pages document and show the special characters.
This is the symbol for a line feed: ↵ (bad)
Replace it with: ¶
Starting with bugOS 7 the Music app displayed ¶ as two line feed. My lyrics looked like crap. So I changed them to ↵. Now I have to switch everything back. Thank you, Apple. Thank you VERY MUCH!!!

Sep 24, 2016 8:14 AM in response to Gubidby Gubid,Since updating to iOS 10 all the lyrics to my songs could no longer be displayed on my iPhone. Previously tapping the artwork would display them. Now nothing is displayed, tapping all the options on the screen just gives me the option to "Delete", "Add to a Playlist", "Love" or "Dislike". I have just added an album with lyrics to my iTunes library on syncing this to the phone the lyrics do not display. Several people have mentioned the "Custom lyric" button, I've looked for this but can't find it! I dont have a particuarly large music collection so decided to delete everything and redownload, this worked! I now have ALL the lyrics.

Sep 24, 2016 2:29 PM in response to Gubidby Rachel2202,When you are in iTunes and highlight a song and "get info" then lyrics, at the bottom of the lyrics box there is a check box for custom lyrics.

Sep 25, 2016 1:30 PM in response to Rachel2202by espfutbol98,yeah iOS 10 completely skullfucked my custom lyrics too. I unsynced all my music in iTunes and resynced it and that worked for a bit until my phone synced over wifi again and once again iOS 10 shat itself and doesn't show half the custom lyrics. seems like a bug somewhere so I would expect a fix sometime around a year from now.

Sep 26, 2016 5:43 PM in response to Rachel2202by Udontkonwme,Resynced my entire library (100gb+ downgraded to 256kbps sound quality - long process) only to find out it does but still does not resolve this tedious issue, as some songs that didn't have custom lyrics now shows while others that used to didn't. So from what I gather, it's a gamble during the syncing process and I have no idea why. I conversed through Apple Support's official twitter account and they have no clue what I'm talking about as they keep giving me a link to Apple Music, saying that not all lyrics are available when I'm talking about my offline library with years of inputted custom lyrics, now not showing up.
As of now I updated the phone to the latest iOS 10 update. Have yet to resync my library (again) otherwise my collection remains lyric-less in many songs.

Sep 27, 2016 7:41 AM in response to Udontkonwmeby Gubid,Thanks Rachel 2202, that "custom lyric" option isn't available for me!
Resyncing 100 gig to find that it didn't work must have been frustrating!!
I completely deleted everything and the synced again, that worked for me!
Deleting a100 gig would be a pain, I couldn't find a "delete all option", so had to do it manually!

Sep 30, 2016 7:42 PM in response to Rachel2202by VickoTC,Even though I have check and unchecked the custom lyrics button, the songs do not appear after being synced. I tried some songs and I have to copy them again one by one, which demerits the purpose. Hope Apple can fix this bug in their next iTunes update or iOS.

Oct 2, 2016 5:47 PM in response to Rachel2202by VickoTC,Hi Rachel,
in iTunes, de-select all your music, then sync your iphone and check to make sure the music is no longer accessible in the device's Music. then re-select the music you want and re-sync your iphone, and you should see the lyrics options (both ways) and the lyrics for songs that either have them available, or that you've added lyrics to manually (not listed as "custom lyrics" in each file in iTunes).
I had the same problem as everyone here and this solution worked for all of my phones, which are all now on iOS10.
*** For those that don't see the custom lyrics checkbox make sure you've updated the latest iTunes and the lates iOS software. Hope this helps!
