Q: imessage not connecting
I've tried everything. I was originally on a shared iCloud account and we changed the password. I had to sign back in with the new password and everything was fine, except iMessage wasn't working. Oddly enough, it only works for some contacts; I could iMessage two people, but not anybody else. I obviously know they didn't all switch to non-Apple phones in one day. I tried turning iMessage off and on on my brother's phone and texted him as a test, it still didn't work as iMessage. I tried turning iMessage off and on, on both my phone and mac. SMS is enabled. I rebooted both devices. I signed out from iCloud and the apple ID, and signed back in. Still nothing. My connectivity is fine. I tried checking to make sure time is set automatically. I followed every step everywhere and it still did not work. So I made a new apple ID and updated my phone to the latest iOS as of 9/24/16, which is iOS 10.0.2. I turned off/on iMessage again. It still doesn't work, or rather, I can still only iMessage those two people and nobody else. What else do I have to do?
