Q: I deleted my /private folder. What can I do to fix it?

Some of the files are still in my Trash bin. I'm trying to recover and put it back but it takes a long process and I don't know what happens next.

Plus, some of my files are gone and I can't even use my Safari I would tried on clicking into anything on it but nothing happens and my system preferences doesn't function as well.

PLEASE HELP ME FIX IT. PLEASE TELL ME THERE'S STILL ANYTHING THAT I COULD DO.

Restore it from a backup, or reinstall the OS. Depending on your OS, it's done by restarting with the Command and R keys held down or connecting an installation thumbdrive/DVD and pressing C or Option at startup.

1. Choose Restart from the Apple menu.
2. A reinstallation won't restore the old files in that folder; it installs fresh ones. Files outside it will remain as is unless a problem occurs.

I Tried to reinstall it but after i restarted my laptop, it never worked Already and it just continuously reboots but nothing happens
