Q: Puzzled

HI, ever since setting up my iPhone SE my hotmail account just wont sync. It tells me there's unread emails when I have read them, it won't let me delete emails and it's beginning to drive me nuts!!

does anybody have any advice?

Thanks

iPhone SE, iOS 10

Quite probably your account has been upgraded to the new sync protocol, you'll either have to delete the account & recreate it & hopefully it'll pick up the new exchange server, if not then recreating the account using imap/smtp will also work.

    Incoming (IMAP) Server

    • Server address: imap-mail.outlook.com
    • Port: 993
    • Encrypted Connection: SSL

    Outgoing (SMTP) Server

    • Server address: smtp-mail.outlook.com
    • Port: 25 (or 587 if 25 is blocked)
    • Authentication: Yes
    • Encrypted Connection: TLS

User name: Your full Hotmail email address, including ‘@hotmail.com’.

    Password: Your Hotmail account password
