Q: Final Cut Pro - Invisible clip overlap

Hello fellow Final cut users.

I am very new to final cut pro, but I am currently working on a video that has consumed a lot of my time. However, I have encountered a major problem that with my current experience, I can't fix without help.

On the timeline, my video is being overlapped by another clip that I can't see on my timeline. It's like the clip is invisible, and I have no idea how to remove it.

Anyone know a solution to my problem?

    can you rephrase your question?

How can you know it's overlapped when you can't see it ...

    Better:

Apply a screenshot of your timeline.

(yep, asking for a pic of something invisible makes no sense either … LOL)

    Screenshots would be nice.

It could be a bad render file, so deleting render files might help: select the project, File->Delete Generated Project Files... and check all render files. And while you're about it, turn "background render" OFF.

Right-click the clip in the timeline and choose "Open in Timeline".

The clip will open up in its own Timeline.

Press Shift+Z to make sure you can see the whole timeline. If you have another clip overlapping it, it should appear there.
