Sep 23, 2016 9:23 AM in response to allowinby Eric Root,Have you tried using Boot Camp Assistant to remove one partition?
-
Sep 24, 2016 5:46 AM in response to Eric Rootby allowin,as i said, I tried to remove the partitions with bootcamp, but can't. I used disk utility, I removed the partitions one by one and enlarge the disk partition manually.
Now, my problem is to reistall my bootcam. have an image made by winclone, after three times try I always get a meessage< errors found, or something like this> and winclone stops, then loose my bootcamp patition created with Bootcamp Assistant, or part of it.
A smaller partition remains in my drive wich is the exact size of my winclone image.
I ha read a lot about this operation, think I did every thing pefrect, but none.
All I wanted is to get a bigger drive for my snow leopard and Bootcamp,n from original 120 Gb to 160 Gb.
It's been three nights a long

Sep 24, 2016 7:59 AM in response to allowinby Eric Root,Do a backup, preferably 2 separate ones on 2 drives. Boot off the DVD and run Disk Utility Verify/Repair Disk and Repair Permissions until you get no errors. Reformat the drive using Disk Utility/Erase Mac OS Extended (Journaled), then click the Option button and select GUID. Then re-install the OS.
When you reboot, use Setup Assistant to restore your data.
Then use Boot Camp Assistant to install the Windows partition.

Sep 25, 2016 10:32 AM in response to Eric Rootby allowin,sorry, I didn't get it !
I have my original drive with two partitions10.6.8 and Bootcamp ( windows installed)
So I want a bigger drive, I have already moved 10.6.8 with super duper on the new drive. I made a clone of my windows partition with winclone. Then I made a partition with Bootcamp assistant on then new drive. At then moment I boot with the new bigger drive with my 10.6.8, and I want to move windows to the partition on the new drive. I think, In my case Bootcamp assistant can't move my widows partition. Of course if I wanted to install windows from the beginnings, then it would be all right, but I don't because I have all my programms and preferences that I don't wanna loose, and it's saving time too, isn't it ?

Sep 25, 2016 10:51 AM in response to allowinby Loner T,What is the version of Winclone? Was the Winclone source image created on Snow Leopard 10.6.8?
From OS X Terminal, can you post the output of
diskutil list
sudo gpt -vv -r show /dev/disk0

Sep 25, 2016 1:44 PM in response to Loner Tby allowin, winclone 2.2, the image was created with winclone on snow leopard 10.6.8
sorry, ask me any thing but not to touch the terminal, not yet !
I'm working on another mac, I shut down the one i'm upgrading, i can do it later.
I stopped doing anything cause I had errors three times. All I read sounds so far from what I am expecting. Maybe this version of winclobne that works with snow leopard is not fully working ? any how it's simply complicated to work with winclone

Sep 25, 2016 2:13 PM in response to allowinby Loner T,In Application -> Utilities -> Console type Winclone in the top right search box type 'winclone' and search. What are the error messages? If you can, select all the messages and post them as a reply.
Terminal commands are not needed yet. Post back when you are ready to tackle this again.

Sep 25, 2016 5:04 PM in response to Loner Tby allowin,ok, this the last part in the winclone Log, that concerns the error, I think, or the beginnings of restoring:

Sep 25, 2016 5:48 PM in response to allowinby Loner T,Do you have any third-party NTFS software - Tuxera, Paragon, NTFS-3g, MacDrive,... ?
The following command will dump the first block of the NTFS header.
sudo dd if=/dev/rdisk0s3 count=1 2>/dev/null | hexdump -C
The following command will display the Hybrid MBR.
sudo fdisk /dev/disk0
