Sep 25, 2016 3:03 PM in response to HMartínezby David Harbsmeier,If I recall correctly, FCS 2 was replaced by FCS 3 in 2009 and Apple dropped all support for the legacy version in June of 2011. So even if you could get it to install, there's a very good chance that the functionality would be lacking.
You could try partitioning your hard drive, then install an older OS on the second partition (OS 10.6 or 10.5) and install FCS 2 on that partition.

Sep 25, 2016 6:22 PM in response to David Harbsmeierby Shane Ross,You can't install older OS versions on newer Macs. The one it ships with is the lowest it can do.
Trying to install 9 year old software on a new computer is always tricky. I know people have done it. It can be done with Pacifist...google this, Installing FCP 6 on El Capitan Pacifist. See what that gets you. BUT NOTE!! Only FCP works. Motion, Compressor, Cinema Tools...don't. And FCP isn't fully functional...in that there might be small things that don't work.
You might need to look at more current software, like FCP-X or Adobe Premiere Pro.
