Nov 5, 2014 10:41 PM in response to Michael Ginsbergby iPhone236545,I am having this same problem. Only it is with the target app. It seems that none of my apps are working with Apple Pay correctly. However, in the store seems to work great. I would love to know what is going on. I have been chatting with Apple support and they do not seem to know.

Nov 7, 2014 8:52 AM in response to mikefromchestertonby iPhone236545,Ok I have talked with Apple and have learned a couple of things, and have fixed the problem. First of all I learned that you must be logged into an account to use Apple Pay. While there is no indication of this being the error, that was my problem. I was also pretty sure they had said that there was no need to have an account within an app when they announced this at the keynote, I must have been mistaken. But you must have an account and be logged in to use Apple Pay. Once I created an account, my staples app worked perfectly. However, the target app still did not work. I called target and they said this was a known problem with their app and they would be fixing it. So the apps I have got to work once I logged in were Apple, and Staples. Target app does not work but that is because of Target.
Side note, the Target lady started out trying to blame Apple for everything and seemed to generally not like the iPhone. Once she found out that it was their fault for the problem she became very apologetic.

Nov 7, 2014 11:41 AM in response to Michael Ginsbergby mikefromchesterton,Tryed Apple Pay again, and found in my case anyway, that my shipping and billing address State must be abbreviated. Example: IN for Indiana.
I also made sure in Passbook that I selected the correct format as mentioned. I forgot to mention, I was using Apple Pay in the App for Apple Store.

Nov 18, 2014 7:42 PM in response to mikefromchestertonby bull77ock,I used Apple Pay for the first time with the Apple Store. I had an issue where it did not like my billing or shipping address. For some reason it showed up without the 4 digit zip code extension. I could not find a way to edit it or what was setting it (it was not my Apple Store accounts it has the 3 extra digits). So I created a new billing and shipping address. That did the trick....my question now is, how do I get rid of the bad addresses within the Apple Store app on my iPhone?
Thanks
Bob

Jan 8, 2015 12:08 AM in response to bull77ockby johnv6,I had the red exclamation point problem when attempting to use Apple pay in the Target app. I found a solution that worked for me.
The Target app showed the red exclamation due to the shipping address. Since I was going to pick up from the store, the shipping address in the Target app showed my phone number and email address from my phone's Passbook & Apple Pay "Transaction Defaults" (shown in iPhone Settings, then under Passbook & Apple Pay). I noticed everything looked correct with my email address and phone number. However, I noticed the phone number had a 1 in front of the area code. Example 1 (xxx) xxx-xxxx.
I went into my Contacts, removed the 1 from before the area code of the phone number. Went back into the Passbook & Apple Pay settings, touched the phone number, then it gave me options of various phone numbers from my personal contact info from Contacts. I chose the phone number I edited (the one in which I removed the 1 from before the area code).
I then exited the phone Settings, went back to the Target app, attempted the purchase again, and it succeeded.
What I concluded from this? The default info in Passbook & Apple Pay is very picky about how it is formatted. A minor formatting issue (like the 1 in front of the area code of my phone number) caused my initial attempt to purchase in the Target app to fail.

Oct 26, 2015 6:55 AM in response to Michael Ginsbergby zenodux,I was having trouble with my billing address (and later my shipping address) in the Apple Store app using Apple Pay. The addresses in both cases were correct. My name was spelled slightly differently, and this caused the problem. Subtle.
