Q: Enable Photo Memories on iPad

When you launch Photos, you should see three icons on the bottom of the screen. The middle one is Memories. What happens when you tap on it?

Be aware that analyzing a library of your size will take days. You should be leaving your iPad locked, powered and connected to Wi-Fi overnight.

I would like to remove memories tab from my photos app. I can't use photos because this freaking memories tab. Now it's a big mess in the Photo app. I want the ability to remove this memories tab. I have Movies app and I don't need this Memories tab in my Photos.

I have exact same issue as you do Tim on my 4th Generation iPad.  All my other devices (iPhone 6 and iPad Air) are working correctly, showing Memory Tab.

Memories isn’t available on iPad (4th generation).

So there is probably no way that you could enable Memories on your iPad, sorry.

You're welcome. It is a pity, but maybe the processing power of the 4th generation iPad is not enough for the memory movies. My iPad 3rd generation cannot even be upgraded to iOS 10.

Thanks Leonie for link referencing answer and Tim for posting in 1st place.  Maddening with very little information out there.  The memories works rather well, and one of the few things I'm liking on the IOS 10.0.2 upgrade.

You're welcome   I am impressed by the categories.  The automatic classification of the photos into categories is working rather well, only a few false positives.
