Q: Problem with embedded images in Mail

Hi All,

When I attach the image to the email and send it to PC users, the image appears inline as a small thumbnail (like 102px x 109px) in stead of fullsize. I tried to change settings to "Actual Size" and "Large" in the compose window as proposed. Disregards the settings it's always shown as small image.

In the mail body I see the following:

Test<div class="3D"""><img apple-inline=3D"no" =

id=3D"7EE5D7EB-A5D4-4FE5-918D-EF7728864951" height=3D"102" width=3D"109" =

apple-width=3D"yes" apple-height=3D"yes" =

src=3D"cid:750E9C2A-F38C-43A6-B575-EA8E155286AD" class="3D"""><br =

class=3D"">

So it's really embedded as 102x109 and rendering small.

But in the Mac Mail it appears normal.

Yes, I tried the known proposal of changing attachment image size to "Actual Size" and "Large" in the composer window, but the image is still as small thumbnail on PC mail clients. JFYI the current settings for attachments preview is

defaults write com.apple.mail DisableInlineAttachmentViewing 0, but not sure that it's related.

How to fix this issue?

MacBook Pro with Retina display, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6)

    The fault is usually in the email Reader at the receiving end.

    There are few things you can do to make it more likely to succeed:

    One is to check [√] send Windows-friendly attachments.

    another is to insert the attachment only at the very end of the text, and not add a signature or anything else beyond it.

    Another is to compose your emails in "Plain text" as opposed to "Rich Text".

    another is to Zip the attachment

    and the desperation move is to send two emails: First, "I am bout to send you a document in my next email"

      ... followed immediately by second: ONLY the attachment, no text whatsoever [sometimes (nt) is added to subject line to indicate (No Text)]

    Thank you for your quick reply. I already have Windows-compatible attachments flag enabled, but it doesn't help.

    The problem with embedded images started after El Capitan update. Before in Yosemity it was totally fine.

    Other proposed ways of sending inline images are not suitable for me unfortunately, so I'm still looking for any solutions with current Mail client and the way to send images inline with actual size not the small thumbnails.

    Just wondering how other people communicate with Window users using Mac Mail client? This should be like a general and very popular problem?!

    Thanks!
