Q: iPhone 7s Touch ID problems
Touch ID stopped working. This weekend I did the 10.0.2 update. My fingers are cold this morning, so I thought it might have to do with that. Rebooted iPhone 7s, still not working. Deleted existing fingerprints, can't enter new ones.
Under "Touch ID & Passcode" all the toggles are defaulting to off. If, while they are off, I try to add a fingerprint, it doesn't even try to scan. If I turn on any of the options, it then asks for a fingerprint to be entered. It will scan, then blank out what it scanned. It tries a few times then says to not move my finger, which I am not doing. I've tried warming my fingers, and cleaning the home button, same results. I tried googling this problem, but haven't found it to be a known issue. I do have a screen protector on it, but it does not touch the button. My phone has not gotten wet, nor are my fingers damp. I am visually impaired, so the touch ID is useful to me as I prefer keeping my phone locked, and have a difficult time seeing the screen outdoors in sunlight.
