Q: iMac G4 as second monitor.

I have an iMac G4 20" (2004 model M6498 with maximum OS X 10.5.8.). A real oldie, needless to say.

In the past I was able to use it as a second monitor via Screenrecycler, but sadly the program isn't supported by El Capitain and Sierra so that option is shot dead.

I know I'm not able to do it with cables, because the G4 only has an output, no input. But I was hoping there would be alternatives to Screenrecycler that google isn't showing me.

Any advice other than tossing the G4?

None, the G4 simply will not support Target Display Mode. It is too old.

If the computer can be used for other things, continuing using it, otherwise please discard of it responsibly by locating a computer recycling location in your vicinity.
