I want to download OS X El Capitan for a Mac Mini that's too old to utilize most of Sierra's features. Where can I find it? The link provided in an earlier request is dead — says the download is no longer available. The only El Capitan download I can find says it's specifically designed as a bridge download to go from Snow Leopard to Sierra (which I don't want).  Thanks.

Use the one you found. It's also for people with computers that can't run Sierra.

Even though Sierra may have feature that you may not be able to use,

there will be improvements to it over El Capitan.  As long as your Mini

is supported by Sierra, I would suggest that you use it over El Capitan.

Also, if you are making a big jump from 10.6.8 to either one, be aware that

many of your applications may not work on either OS.

In addition, you may need to make sure you have sufficient RAM for either.

Both need significantly more RAM than 10.6.8 to really run efficiently.
