Screen issues started after Sierra update

For a few seconds after waking up my MacBook Pro, some large randomly-shaped vividly colored defects appear on several portions of the screen. Any suggestions?

Howdy buckeye351,

I understand that you're seeing some distorted video on your Mac's screen right after you wake it from sleep. That certainly doesn't sound like normal behavior. I'd like to provide some suggestions to help.

As a first step, I'd recommend resetting your Mac's NVRAM. Take a look at this resource that goes over how to reset NVRAM:

How to Reset NVRAM on your Mac - Apple Support
If you still continue to experience this problem, check out this website to see if your Macbook Pro with Retina display model matches any of the affected models:

Take care!

Thank you for the reply. Unfortunately, NVRAM did not make any difference. My Macbook is not an affected model. It is a 2015 MacBook Pro Retina 13'.

I believe Apple has to look into this bug. Prior to Sierra I did not have any display issues.
