If you have an iCloud account, you can choose an icloud.com email address.

If you previously had a MobileMe or .mac account, you'll have a me.com or mac.com email address.

Only Apple employees will have an apple.com email address.

Apple provides email services through their iCloud E-mail platform. You can get an Apple provided icloud email account by signing up for an email account through the Mail App in an Apple Computer or iOS device.

You cannot use Apple's mail servers with an email account from a different provider.

You might however be able to forward your 3rd party email account to an Apple Provided iCloud email account. Contact your current E-mail provider for instructions on how to do this.
