Q: MacBook Air Doesn't Reconnect to WiFi After Sleep

Just update to Sierra, and now whenever I open my MacBook from sleep, it doesn't reconnect to the wifi network automatically. I have to click the wifi icon, and manually select my network. Every time. Super annoying!

Please let me know if there is a fix for this.

    Hi sam142,

I understand that your Mac is having problems automatically re-connecting to a saved Wi-Fi network after you wake it from sleep. I can understand the concern here, and I'm glad to help you out with this problem.

As a first step, try deleting your Wi-Fi network from the preferred networks list, then re-add it using the steps found here:

macOS Sierra: Choose preferred Wi-Fi networks

Try testing for the problem to see if it persists. If so, I'd recommend that you try booting your Mac into safe mode and test for the issue. Once you are done testing in safe mode, reboot your machine normally and try testing again to see if the issue has been resolved.

If the issue persists in safe mode, try creating a test user account on your Mac to see if the problem occurs there. This will help to isolate the issue further. Take a look at this website for more information:
