Sep 19, 2016 8:44 AM in response to Briansyddallby hwhens,Thought about that originally, but dismissed. Later, thought why not try it and did. Did not fix the problem. I really think this is a nagging hiccup in early version of 10. Hopefully it will be corrected in updates, but want to be sure Apple takes a look at it.

Sep 22, 2016 8:35 AM in response to kvellanoby hwhens,I suspect this problem is prevalent among iPad users. The more the are who point it out, the more likely Apple will address the issue in coming updates.

Sep 23, 2016 8:23 AM in response to hwhensby bmadding,Same thing happens with me. Funny thing is, the question never gets answered by Apple. They only offer a reboot or inconvenient delete and reinstall, all of which is not user friendly. I remember a time when Apple products actually worked as intended and now they don't seem to care about the issues, as long as we keep buying their products. I asked via this forum why the Music app now plays songs that I didn't even load and it simply got ignored. I chatted with a apple support person who told me to reset my phone and that should take care of the problem, it didn't and just wasted my time. Hopefully they'll fix whatever bug is causing this mail issue but based on experience, I doubt they'll ever admit it's an issue or fully fix it, all while offering a jovial "cheers".

Sep 26, 2016 3:34 PM in response to hwhensby positron23,Having the same problem. My issue is specific to the iPad. iOS 10 and Mail is fine on my iPhone. With the iPad I have rebooted, deleted, and then added accounts again and the problem still exists. As an example if I have 30 emails I want to delete Mail will crash at least 4-5 times. Delete 4 or 5 emails- crash, reopen-delete 4-5 emails-crash and so on. You get the picture. I was hoping with 10.0.2 there would be a fix but no such luck.

Sep 26, 2016 4:01 PM in response to hwhensby kvellano,Another app is crashing as well (Pac-12 Now). Perhaps the developer just needs to update their app though...

Sep 26, 2016 4:15 PM in response to hwhensby ricandersonva,Yes, it is happening on my 4th gen iPad w wifi on both 10.0.1 and 10.0.2.
when scrolling through new mail, about every 5th or 6th Mail, the app quits and jumps back to home menu. It's a consistent problem perfectly replicatable and predictable. I tried deleting mail account, tried rebooting, tried 10.0.2 update. I still have the problem.
ITS A BUG.

Sep 26, 2016 4:37 PM in response to ricandersonvaby bmadding,Yep still have the same issue even after the update and only silence from apple. Such "genius". anyway I found a whole new issue now, when I click on a link in email it takes me to a blank tab, I then have to exit safari and try the link again until it finally opens. Planned obsolescence at its best, bravo apple.

Sep 28, 2016 9:11 AM in response to bmaddingby hwhens,Agreed, the update did not address this problem. For the time being, I've started using Google Inbox with which I've had no problem. I prefer (if for no other reason than habit) Apple Mail, but the constant crashing while working my mail has simply become too annoying. I'll try, again, after future updates, but for now I'm switching to a stable, workable mail app.
