Q: carplay

Hi, my new BMW X5 2017 has a built-in carpal system, and sometimes it worked with my iPhone 6 plus. But sometimes, the system told me that it was unable to establish the connection with carpal no matter how I tried using the car's management. I had to turn the car off, and restarted it, and then it MAY come back. I don't have problem connecting the bluetooth, and it worked well in bluetooth mode. My question is, how can I make the connection to Carplay reliable? Is this a bug or if there should be some tricks to do?

Also, in bluetooth mode, I can receive "parked car"notification after parking but never received any notification of "parked car"when my phone was connected to Carplay. Is this normal? Or should I do some extra steps to activate this?  Many many thanks to everyone.

I have the connection issue too.  I have reset my phone, I have an Apple lightning cable and I make sure I am not texting or talking on the phone when I plug it in (as I'm starting my car).  It has been failing at least once a day since the updates.  I have taken my car to the VW dealer twice (they kept it for a week one time) and I have taken my phone to the Genius Bar twice (reset it once).  I would really like help with this as I need the maps to find my way and the audiobooks for entertainment.
