    Hi, voycom!

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities. If I'm reading your post correctly, I understand that you want to sync music from iTunes to your iPhone--but not apps or other content. I can definitely appreciate wanting to get only specific media synced, and would be happy to help!

You are able to choose which content you'd like to sync, and which you'd like not to. To find out how to turn off certain sync options, and to enable others, check out the following article.

    Hi Sarah,

I very well know this procedure but to clarify my question.

If I deselect everything except music, only music will be synced, but I will lose all other sync content.

I don’t want to unsync my other content I just want to update my music library without having to wait for the whole sync process.

My point is, if I don’t have time for my picture to sync but would like to add music quickly to my iPhone.

    Time is of question here.

My normal sync process usually takes 5–10 min sometime more if I have lots of new photos.

And I do a local backup of my iPhone 64 Gb

5 min is too much if I just want to add an album or a couple of songs from sync.

    Same as with our iPad,

If I just want to sync an extra movie for the kids in the library.

And if the last iPad sync process was months ago. It will take forever.

I really just want to add just that movie, not sync my whole life.

AND I don’t want to erase what’s on my iPad. That was previously sync.

Just add a movie then I could hit the road.

    Thank you
