Q: Old devices not listed on my account

Hi, I've come back to being an apple I touch user after many years. I had an I touch that my son lost earlier this year and so I bought a 4th gen hoping to access the purchased apps on the lost I touch 2nd gen. However I've had to start from scratch as nothing seems to be linked under devices other than my laptop.

The old itouch was synched to an old xp PC that went the way of the dodo a couple of years ago. So there is no link to the past model other than my user name/email

Any help would be appreciated

iPod touch, iOS 6.1.6

Access to purchased apps is the salient issue. If you purchased an app, you should still be able to download it - unless it's no longer available or your Apple ID is different.

Go to the App Store and tap on the "Purchased" column. You'll see your purchased apps - but if the App was purchased using a previous Apple ID, you'll have to enter that old ID and password.

Thanks for taking the time to reply. Problem is the purchased page does not show the apps for the 2 accounts I have ever held as an apple owner so its a real mystery

Start with are the purchases listed in the Purchase History for the Apple IDs?

You have to, in iTunes on a computer, sign into each account/ID one at a time.
