Sep 22, 2016 2:46 AM in response to Ella Fitzgeraldby NickHillUK,I wish contributors would *read* peoples questions, before simply posting stock links based on trigger keywords. The standard help for 2 factor authentication does not cover this question, that's why I posted here....

Sep 23, 2016 7:17 PM in response to NickHillUKby LACAllen,This is the type of detail that is not typically documented by companies like Apple.
If the primary idea behind something like 2FA is a high level of security, it makes no sense to publish it's every process.
In my experience, the browser will ask you again at some point. Clearing the website data and history may help, but again, this is not documented by Apple. Rightfully so, IMO.
Why give the bad guys a map on how to defeat or compromise security?

Sep 24, 2016 5:33 AM in response to LACAllenby NickHillUK,What on earth are you on about!??
Using 2FA you are asked, *after* you enter the 6 digit code if you want apple to remember that browser and not ask you for the code again when using that browser on that device. I want to know how to trigger the system to ask that question again, if I have previously said 'no'. This has nothing do with with compromising security, and nothing to do with 'bad guys' trying to hack the system.....there is no reason for 'companies like apple' to not document standard processes of their solutions.
does anybody understnd my question?

Sep 26, 2016 5:37 PM in response to Eric Rootby NickHillUK,I Remember when you used to be able to talk to support live in a chat session...

Sep 26, 2016 11:27 PM in response to LACAllenby NickHillUK,That's a phone call, not a live chat session. Phone isn't an option for me, but live chat/messaging is. You used to get that option, but not anymore.

Sep 28, 2016 12:53 AM in response to Eric Rootby NickHillUK,Yup, you click through endless pointless questions and categories that try to desparately push you towards irrlelvant help documents or service status pages or forum posts and eventually you get to a point where it says "have a phone call now" or "schedule a phone call for later".
It used to have a third option to "chat with a support advisor now" which would open a messaging window.
Does anybody have a *direct* link that will simply open the chat window?
I don't want to read the forums (the answer is not there), I don't want to look at apple help documents (the answer is not there), I don't want to open a service status page (the answer is not there) I cannot provide phone details for a call so where is the chat option?
So, to try and focus the thread, if you have a *direct link* to open a chat window, it would be great if you can post it. With respect, I don't need any more advice, just the link, or an explanation how to get to the chat system.
