Why won't iPhone 6plus open photos app on mac pro since IOS 10 update.
A message comes up on the iphone asking you to trust the computer it's attached to (mac pro 10.10.5)

You tap "Trust" and nothing happens. the photos app on the mac posts this message.

This Mac has not yet been granted access to media on “my iPhone”. In order to import media to this Mac, tap “Trust” on “my iPhone”. You may need to unlock the device first.

iPhone 6 Plus, iOS 10

this actually resolved for me after going to settings, general, reset, reset location and privacy.. and then plugging in and hitting trust.. hope that works for others.

Thanks for the reply. I resolved it by updating iTunes and suddenly Photos popped up and started acting normal again.
Thanks for the tip though, if i encounter this problem again i'll give that a go.
