Q: 'comma' sign is needed in Russian keyboard layout

Hi there,

I've noticed several complaints on the Russian forums related to the keyboard layout in iPad.

The most significant one is:

Inability to print 'comma' sign fast enough.

Currently Russian users are forced  to print 'comma' sign by going to "symbol layout" (1) and then pushing "," button (2). Moreover these two buttons are located in different areas of keyboard, so it is not easy to push them quickly. This is a little bit odd for such a frequently used (especially in Russian language) sign as 'comma'.

Could you please kindly update the Russian layout in order to make it more user-friendly?

My suggestions are as follows. The 'comma' is to be printed by:

1) Holding some button. For example holding space bar. It would be good: double tap space bar is for "." sign, holding space bar is for ",".

2) Double tap some button. For example, double tap "shift" button.

3) Add separate button with "," sign to the Russian layout. In normal mode it would be used for printing ",". In CAPITAL LETTERS mode it would be used for printing ".".

P.S. Note: in Russian language commas are used much more frequently than in English language and even more frequently than dots.

P.P.S. Hope that this improvement will be included into iOS 5.

Best regards,

Andrey
