Q: Stall in older macs?

I have an iMac and a Macbook Pro (in addition to an iPad and iPhone). I cannot upgrade to Sierra because my macs are "too old." So am I stuck? I love my macs because when I need them to do something, it just works. Additionally, they last a very long time, hence the problem here. Am I now destined to never seeing upgrades to the OS? This is a very good argument for converting to PC.

iMac, Mac OS X (10.7)

    1. You can go on using your Macs as you do now; whether or not their OS can be upgraded depends on what version they're currently running and what exact model they are.

    2. See #1.

    3. The same point applies to PCs; eventually, a version of Windows which they can't be upgraded to will come out.
