Q: I was given my deceased father-in-laws Ipad Air 2, and we know the password to log in, but not the Apple ID to wipe the Ipad clean.

My mother-in-law gave me my deceased father-in-laws Ipad Air 2. We have the password to log into the Ipad, but not the Icloud/Apple ID. I have taken steps to retrieve it (his birthdate, mothers maiden name) but I keep running into road blocks. Last weekend, we got to the step of having a code sent to my mother-in-laws phone. After we entered the code, we were asked to provide the credit card number that was originally entered with the Apple ID. We don't have this number and he is deceased. This is crazy how difficult it is to get this thing wiped clean. I can get into someones bank account with less security requirements than Apple requires to wipe an Ipad. Can anyone help me wipe this Ipad, so I can start from scratch?
