Q: Ios 10 update issue with notifications

When on the phone and the screen goes to lock screen, you are now not able to get text notifications on screen. The phone will only vibrate but this means i miss out on all my notifications.

    Hi F_ali,

I understand that you are not seeing notifications for your messages and instead, your iPhone is only vibrating. I know it's important to be able to keep up with your notifications, so I'm happy to help.

From your description, it sounds like you may not have notifications configured properly for your messages. This article has more information on how to adjust your notifications:

Change alert styles and settings for notifications

Customize your notifications with different alert styles so you can act quickly on emails, calendar invites, messages, and more. To add or change an alert style for a notification, go to Settings > Notifications and select an app.

Notifications from apps can have these alerts styles:

    • Banners: Banner alerts appear at the top of the screen and go away automatically. To reply, swipe down on the banner or swipe up to dismiss it.  If you have an iPhone 6s or later, you can respond to a banner alert with 3D Touch. Just press deeply on a banner alert to respond.
    • Alerts: With Alerts, you need to act before you can move on. Depending on the app, you can dismiss the alert or reply to it.
    • Badges: A Badge is the red number that appears on an app icon and shows you how many notifications you have for that app.
    • Sounds: Have an app play a sound to alert you when you receive a notification.

    Hello,

Thanks for your reply, all my notifications are fine i checked these before contacting to ensure everything is setup correctly. I know a few people with this same issue so it must be an bug/problem with ios10 because everything was okay before.

I have this same issue, and no one has been able to provide a solution yet. I've tried restarting my phone, double checking notification settings, and even restored from an iTunes backup. This only happened after upgrading to iOS10.
