Q: Carplay ios 9 - Playlists always alphabetical

I have a Pioneer AVIC 8100NEX head unit with firmware version 1.03.  When I plug my iPod classic into it, playlists will play in the order I set them up in iTunes.

When using my iPhone in Apple Carplay, the songs on any playlist I have in my iPhone 5S (ios9.1) are always listed in alphabetical order regardless of how I sequenced them in iTunes.  If I scroll through the menu on the iPhone itself, they do show in the order I set them up in iTunes.

Is this a limitation of Carplay or is there some way I can correct this on my iPhone?  I want them to play in the playlist sequence from ITunes.

iPhone 5s, iOS 9.1

I just bought a iPod Touch 6th Generation and am having this issue along with it not auto-playing when I start up my car.

I have an iPod Nano 7th Generation that has neither of these two issues.  It makes no sense why there aren't settings on the iPod for things like this.

Does anybody have a fix for these??

    Hi,

just at iOS 10 i found this error today in my car

When i control it on the screen of my Volkswagen Caddy, it is in alphabetical order

When i controll the playlist in the iPhone, the music in the playlist is in my order.

It is a little bit boring?!

    Regards

    Olaf

Same for me on a VW Touran 2016: since upgrading to iOS 10, playlists are in alphabetical order when used in CarPlay. No problem when browsing playlists via standard Media-In or Bluetooth audio.

I had this issue, it was because at some stage I had sorted my playlists into Artist order, the Carplay headunit "remembered" this. The way to resolve it I found was

    1. Check your playlists on your phone are correct.

    2. Tell Carplay (in settings) to forget your headunit

    3. Reconnect them

    4. Problem solved (For me)

Didn't work for me, even newly created playlist are ordered alphabetically (iOS10.0.2). Hope an iOS update is coming soon, come on Apple!

    Same at me:

Didn't work for me, even newly created playlist are ordered alphabetically (iOS10.0.2).

But same at other App (Sennheiser Captune)...

Seems to be a Apple "feature"...

    So, please Apple Correct this.
