Q: iMessage with iOS 10 and MacOS Sierra
Prior to upgrading to iOS 10 and macOS Sierra, iMessages sent from my iPhone would also appear in the iMessages app on my MacBook Pro, and my iPad Air 2 - and similarly for each of the three devices.
This worked great in my view. When I am at my laptop, it's very convenient to type answers on the keyboard.
However, after the upgrades, that connection stopped. Each device is not seeing the iMessages of the others, although all three devices are signed into the same iCloud account.
Is this a feature reduction? Or am I missing something? I've searched the settings and preferences.
macOS 10.12 (mid 2014 rMBP)
iOS 10.0.2 (iPhone 6s, iPad Air2)
Thanks

Hi,
Sign Out of iMessages (the Apple ID used) on all devices
On the iPhone slide the Messages app item from green to white (close the app).
Quit the app on other devices.
On the iPhone open the app again.
Wait for the number to verify.
Whilst that is happening open the App on the Mac and sign Back into the iMessage account.
Once the iPhone Number has verified send an iMessages Specifically to your Apple ID (enter it manually).
If this works add back the Apple ID in Send and Receive on the iPhone version.
Accept the op ups on the Mac.
(repeat for other devices signing back in)
Set the "Send as SMS" item.
Check the iPhone is joining the same LAN in the WiFi Settings that the Mac is on
Reset Text Forwarding on the iPhone which will cause the Code number to appear on the Mac to be entered back on the iPhone.
Repeat for other devices.
Basically try a reset.
