Q: Problem getting my WiFi connection back after sleep mode
After my computer comes out of sleep mode, I have to click on my WiFi network each time to get on internet. If I restart my computer, it finds my WiFi network and connects ok. It is just when it comes out of sleep mode. I have tried numerous solutions that people have posted such as removing certain files from my SystemConfig., but have had no luck.
iMac (21.5-inch Mid 2011), macOS Sierra (10.12)

Hi joycefromil,
I understand that your Mac is having problems automatically re-connecting to a saved Wi-Fi network after you wake it from sleep. I can understand the concern here; it sounds like it would be a little cumbersome to have to re-connect manually every time you wake your Mac from sleep. I'm glad to help you out with this problem.
As a first step, try deleting your Wi-Fi network from the preferred networks list, then re-add it using the steps found here:
Try testing for the problem to see if it persists. If so, I'd recommend that you try booting your Mac into safe mode and test for the issue. Once you are done testing in safe mode, reboot your machine normally and try testing again to see if the issue has been resolved.
If the issue persists in safe mode, try creating a test user account on your Mac to see if the problem occurs there. This will help to isolate the issue further. Take a look at this website for more information:
