Q: AirPort Express LAN problem
Hi
I've recently purchased an Apple AirPort Express router and am having several problems using the ethernet connection with the AirPort active. The thing is, with my old router, I could've had it connected to the ethernet cable, while at the same time connected with a LAN cable to my Macbook (late 2015). The old router would've generated a wifi connection, but at the same time, would've enabled a cable internet connection to my Macbook without the WiFi activated. People could use the WiFi in the household, but the Macbook would be connected to the internet by cable (a lan cable which connected the router)
My question is how do I enable a cable connection on my Macbook using a LAN cable from the AirPort Express, while at the same time, keeping the WiFi active. At this moment, I have the ethernet cable connected to the AirPort and the Lan cable also connected to the AirPort and the Macbook, but the internet won't work unless WiFi is active. I would like to turn off the WiFi on the Macbook and still have an internet connection thanks to the LAN cable which is connected between the AirPort Express device and the Macbook.
Thank you
MacBook Air, iOS 10.0.2
