Sep 27, 2016 8:43 AM in response to Frustratedappleuser999by greenlynx,Same problem with my iPhone 6 Plus (iOS 10). Doing it under 9+ too. Works fine, then touch fails, restart it and sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. Very frustrating. On phone calls sometimes I can answer, sometimes not. I hope someone here can solve our problem...others have this problem too, if the internet is source for complaints.

iPhoneWell, after lunch today, I am heading over to an Apple Store. Will provide my experience/information of the visit. I've purchased 7 iPhones and 4 iPads over time, so will see where Apple customer loyalty is these days.

Sep 30, 2016 12:37 PM in response to greenlynxby greenlynx,Update, I re-set and restored my iPhone 6 Plus to determine if what I am experiencing is a software problem. After this touch worked for about an hour, then the phone started the same old problem: touch works sometimes and not other times. I'm pretty sure now it is a hardware problem as has been previously described. Guy at the Apple Store said the only solution was to buy a new iPhone 7 Plus, gee, I never thought of that. Apple store folks acted like they had never heard of such a problem...hard to believe.

iPhoneWell, just got back from the local Apple Store. Experience was just fine. They exchanged my iPhone 6 Plus for a new one. Said it was still under AppleCare. I did not ask what if it was not covered... I think the SOL would be the responses from what I read elsewhere.
Lesson --> AppleCare.
They would offer a trade up to iPhone 7. That would be just full retail less a trade-in value. They said mine was in real good shape for a trade
Lesson --> Protective Case, Armor Screen protector.
--LessFrustrated for now. I fear the new iPhone 6 Plus may have the same issue. Time will tell.
I did look at the 7Plus. As usual, nice. Will have to wait for my Phone Company aniversary date.
