Q: CarPlay doesn't work after upgrading to iOS10

Hello everyone.

Until yesterday, I was using carplay with no issues whatsoever with my iPhone 5s on my Peugeot 208 2016. However, today, since upgrading to iOS10, I simply can't use it anymore. My iPhone displays the following message: "This acessory is not compatible with iPhone" (I'm using an Apple branded cable, bear that in mind, my car doesn't work with Bluetooth CarPlay), and my car displays "No audio files were found" (seems like it identifies the iPhone as an USB stick, rather than an smartphone).

Does anyone heard of such problems? I know the OS is brand new, but this is really bothering me.

Thanks in advance for everybody who stops by to help me.

iPhone 6 Plus:  Ever since I updated to iOS 10, CarPlay has been a totally wonky disaster.  I use a Pioneer AVIC-8100NEX headunit.  Problems include the phone slowing to a crawl with only Spotify open (for instance, you can see the phone lag so hard the album art appears a frame at a time as it appears on the phone), glitchy audio, random disconnects, and when playing a song often times the music still plays, but the part of the screen on the stereo where the song info appears goes totally black (the home button and network/signal strength info remain), and then the info comes back on the screen, disappears, goes black, reappears, over and over again.  Sometimes my receiver will just totally lock up and I'm unable to use the steering wheel or head unit controls until I reboot the phone completely.  None of this happened on iOS 9.x.  Steve Jobs would have fired the idiots responsible for this lack of testing and oversight. Totally unacceptable.
