Q: Transfer of info from broken IPhone 6 to 6S

Took my dead/broken/looks like it can't come to life IPhone 6 to Verizon to be replaced with a new IPhone 6S. It seems it was not backed up since April - although I believed I had backed it up to my Mac - leaving me very desperate without vital information over the past six months.

Is there any known way to recover these contacts/notes/photos?

Thank you

If you used iCloud to sync contacts, notes, and photos, you should be able to access them simply by signing into iCloud. If you used the "On My iPhone" account for notes, you can't get these without a backup. You may also have synced some notes and contacts with an account other than iCloud, in which case you can sign into these to get them back.
