Q: No signal iPhone 7 plus

I Was able to find an iPhone 7 plus black, worked well all day went to sleep and next morning no cell signal actual message was No Service.  Tried resetting network services, remove the SIM card, resetting the phone.  Tried same sim in another phone and it works.  Seems to be a similar,at issue to those with the airplane mode issue.  Now there is no stock of the phone I want and I'm stuck with a dead paper weigh.  Any ideas?

I called the Tier 2 tech number as suggested on page 2 of this thread. Here is what I learned:

    1. Verizon is completely aware of the issue and has a Verizon internal forum (moderated and used by technicians) that has listed all the issues and customer complaints since the phone was released. (Still call if you are having the issue)

    2. The temporary fix in the Verizon internal forum is to toggle data/voice roaming on and off.

    3. Verizon has submitted network tickets to assess whether it's a network issue and all tests have come back normal and showing no outages

    4. Verizon has an open ticket with Apple (Apple would not provide a ticket number) to assess if the issue is hardware related (antenna bands) or software related (10.0.2).

    5. Some iPhone 7's are having this issue and some are not and the representative said I could take a chance with getting it replaced with the understanding that the same issue can occur (as mentioned in previous posts).

    6. Verizon is working on it.

You can get it replaced, but if you've seen in my post, it's happened to me with 2 different phones. Both silver 256gb Verizon 7 plus.

Yes I have no intention of getting my phone replaced unless a recall is issued or the Verizon and Apple Engineers are unable to resolve the problem. I am waiting for a carrier settings update and/or iOS update to fix this.

Everyone having the issue should contact Verizon at the number mentioned in earlier posts (copied again below for convenience). Pushing the issue helps.

No problem. Your post with the Tier 2 information was most helpful. I have a Genius bar appointment in an hour but like you, I do not want to get my phone replaced. I may cancel and hold out until an update is pushed out as well.

I am having the same issue losing GPS with AT&T on my iPhone 7 plus so it's not just Verizon. My iPhone model number is A1784 which is the AT&T model. This is such a pain as I use it to get to work

Model A1784 here with T-mobile. Dead in the water for cellular. Wondering if it's the new intel cellular modem. Called Apple, tried all the stuff here, they ran 2 separate remote diagnostics, called T-Mobile, they reset some stuff, I've restored as a new phone upgraded, downgraded etc. Nothing fixes it. This *****.

the bulk of complaints are from Verizon users so it's not just the Intel modem

Good point. That makes it sound more like a software issue which would be good news.

I am also having this problem...signal drops to 3G or No Signal randomly.  GPS connection is lost.  I'm also seeing a problem similar to the "Airplane Mode" issue, in that when I lose connection, it will sometimes come back, but the data connection is dead, despite the phone saying it's back on 3G or LTE.  A phone reset will resolve it, but that is clearly NOT a solution.

    THis is a Verizon iPhone 7 128GB with 10.0.2.

I will try some of the temporary fixes mentioned here.  BTW, the Apple geniuses will rarely or never admit that they are aware of a problem.  I think it's a company policy. I had initial wifi connection problems with my iPhone 6 and while waiting in the store to speak with a tech, I overheard a customer before me describing the same problem I had.  I got the same tech and when I described the exact same issue, he looked me in the face and said he'd never heard of the issue.

My new iPhone 7 plus Att version has the similar issue. I have missed several calls in the past week. Some of the caller do left a voice message, but I haven't heard any call.

I would rather replace a cellphone since I work as a real estate agent and use my phone a lot. But there is no black 256 Att in the stock.

Hey y'all. TL;DR.. It seems to be software-related.

Just upgraded to 10.0.2 and got this issue immediately. Glad im not crazy and other people are having the same issue. When I went to Apple store they said a few other people had come in w the same issue too. Hopefully Verizon/Apple get their act together soon. Those of you w 7/7+ are honestly kind of stuck bc there's no previous iOS version to revert to (preloaded w iOS 10).

I got my replacement phone yesterday.

It's actually worse.  At least with my first 7+ it worked for 3 days until I put it in Airplane Mode. Then my problems began.

The new one was fine last night but this morning "No Service".

I played with it on the way to work, stopping under a cell tower at 5 bars on my 6+ and power cycling the 7+, it came back and connected. At one point the 6+ had 5 bars and the 7+ had 1... then "No Service".

It came and went all the way to work, an hour drive in traffic this morning.

At the office it dropped to 1 bar LTE in the elevator and when I came out, went to No Service, while the 6+ went from AT&T 4G (which is really 3G), back to 4-5 bars LTE.

By the time I got to my desk the 7+ did come back.

On my way in I had turned off Voice over LTE and Location Services just to see if that had any effect.

While sitting at my cube, 4 bars LTE on both phones, the 7+ suddenly switched to "No Service" again and nothing I did would make it come back, except power cycling.  While it connects after a power cycle, it eventually drops to "No Service" again.  Just sitting still in a 4-5 bar service area.

Apple seems to have really screwed the pooch with this and I'm not pleased. I'm paying for a very expensive iPod basically. It's not a cellular device in any reliable sense.

I have the same issue, I have noticed that it only happens when I am using the WAZE app.  Today I tried using the WAZE app without any guidance and I did not lose service.  I am going to try this on the way home, but it appears (at least on my iphone 7 plus) that I only lose service when using WAZE and it is providing me with navigation.  Hopefully there is a quick fix.  I have tried all of the other recommended "fixes" removed sim card, reset network settings, rebooted...they are all temp fixes.
