Q: iOS 10 + No force touch = No easy way to open app from the lock screen

With iPhone 6 and iOS 9 you could simply swipe a notification on the lock screen and use touch id to unlock your phone and the corresponding app would open up. With iOS 10 you can interact more with the notifications on the lock screen but if you just want to unlock the phone and go to the full app it seems to be a 4-5 step process. You have to swipe the notification, click view, click on the the bigger notification, click on the home button / use touch id to unlock the phone. Am I missing something here or is there an easier way of doing this?

iPhone 6, iOS 10.0.2

Before when I would swipe from left to right on a notification the widgets screen would always show up. Not sure what changed but it is working now and opening up the corresponding application. So all is good now
