Q: Internal HD has become read-only (error code -50)

Specs: Macbook Pro 13 Inch, late 2011, 4GB RAM, 2.4GHZ Intel Core i5 running El Capitan 10.11.1.

Today out of the blue my HD has become read-only (I think). I can access my files but cannot download anything, create new folders, or empty the trash - I get an error message referencing error code -50. I replaced the original HD just under a year ago with this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00BHRWHNI/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie= UTF8&psc=1 and have had no problems with it up until now.

I have tried restarting and repairing the disk through terminal, neither of which worked. When I try to repair the disk through terminal I get the following error messages:

User differs on "private/etc/hosts", should be 0, user is 501.

Group differs on "private/etc/hosts", should be 0, group is 20.

Unable to set owner & group on "private/etc/hosts". Error 22: Invalid argument

Unable to set permissions on "private/etc/hosts". Error 22: Invalid argument

User differs on "private/var/db/displaypolicyd", should be 0, user is 244.

Group differs on "private/var/db/displaypolicyd", should be 0, group is 244.

Unable to set owner & group on "private/var/db/displaypolicyd". Error 22: Invalid argument

Unable to set permissions on "private/var/db/displaypolicyd". Error 22: Invalid argument

I'm not especially tech-savvy and have no idea what this means. Also I don't know if this is relevant but after checking activity monitor over the last few days there has been a process taking up massive amounts of CPU called ReportCrash.

Could anyone help me?

    Open Disk Utility.

What does it say about the SSHD format?

Have you run Disk Utility>First Aid?

    Ciao.

I have run first aid and it didn't fix the issue. I can't find any info about the SSHD format, although in the info tab it says Solid State: no. I believe the HD format is OS X Extended.

Update: I shut down my computer overnight and when I started using it in the morning the issue was gone. After using it for half an hour or so the problem has come back.
