Q: Macbook Pro (Late 2011) screen glitches
I have an 15" late 2011 MacBook Pro. 1,5 years ago my screen started having problems like glitches, no image via external display, reboots... Then I contacted Apple and they change my motherboard with this program -> http://www.apple.com/support/macbookpro-videoissues/
Today while I am working suddenly my external display goes black and when I started my MacBook, I only see white straps on the loading screen. It has all the symptoms with my previous GPU issue as Apple discribes at the above link:
- Distorted or scrambled video on the computer screen
- No video on the computer screen (or external display) even though the computer is on
- Computer restarts unexpectedly
Apple drive employee ran hardware test program on my mac and the result is fine, they said they need the replace motherboard again but with a price.
What is your advice on this issue?
Thanks,
MacBook Pro, macOS Sierra (10.12)

In order to get a gratis logic board replacement, the MBP has to fail a VST test. If it passes the test then there is an issue other than what the replacement program addresses.
Ciao.
