Sep 28, 2016 6:29 PM in response to Tcarmoucheby léonie,★HelpfulAre you asking about the face recognition in Aperture or in the Photos.app? On a Mac or on a mobile device?
Face recognition is a very complicated task. The face recognition algorithm in Photos has been greatly improved with macOS Sierra and iOS 10, but it still not as good as the human visual system at recognizing faces in a photo.
In the photos apps on a Mac you can add faces manually, that have been missed by the face detection, but that is not possible in Photos on the iPhone or iPad.
In Aperture use "photos > Detect Missing Faces" to scan the selected photos again. And use "Metadata > Assign names" to name the detected faces and assign additional faces frames.

Sep 28, 2016 11:53 PM in response to Tcarmoucheby léonie,Has the scan for Persons finished? On my iPhone the faces scan first did only scan the photos locally on the iPhone. I am using iCloud Photo Library on the iPhone with 45000 photos, but the iPhone scanned only about 5000 photos at first. It added more, after I enlarged several photos that needed downloading from iCloud. It is a very slow process, because of the huge amount of processing needed.
And some faces that I though missing had been detected, only Photos had classified them as a different person. Have you browsed all People's albums and checked, if there are misclassified faces?
