Q: apple watch 1 - update causing problems with exercise

Ever since updating to WatchOS 3, my exercise function is acting weird. Sometimes it closes in the middle of a workout or it doesn't show that i did an exercise at all. I mean it shows up that I burned calories but is there a work around this? Its annoying to have in one app that I burned 1000 calories while in the other I show I only burned 300. Is this only happening to me?

    Hi TheFitJessTorres,

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!

We understand that after updating to watchOS 3, the exercise functionality isn’t working as expected any longer.

To begin troubleshooting this situation, we recommend that you restart your Apple Watch.

Restart your Apple Watch - Apple Support

Test the exercise behavior again after the restart. If the issue continues, we suggest that you unpair your devices and then pair them again.

If your Apple Watch isn't connected or paired with your iPhone - Apple Support

Unpair your devices, then pair them again

If your Apple Watch still can't connect, unpair your devices, then pair them again:

    1. On your Apple Watch, tap Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content and Settings.
    2. On your iPhone, open the Apple Watch app, tap the My Watch tab, then tap your watch at the top of the screen. Tap info icon next to the watch that you want to unpair, then tap Unpair Apple Watch > Apple Watch > Unpair Apple Watch.
    3. Pair your Apple Watch and iPhone again

Again, after the Apple Watch and iPhone have been repaired, test the exercise behavior again.

    Cheers!
