Q: sync identical folders on two Macs
I am new to iCloud Drive sync, and got something I did not expect.
I have Mac A and Mac B (both on Sierra). Using Sugarsync in the past, the document and desktop folders are exact clones of each other. When I make a change or add file in Mac A, it syncs the change in Mac B.
So, I used iCloud Drive to sync my desktop and documents folders, using the same Apple ID. Here is what I did not expect. I have now two sets of everything on both computers. One set in the main documents/desktop folder and one set in a newly created subfolder.
Ex- I added a file to Mac A desktop, that document was placed into a subfolder on Mac B called "Mac A Desktop". I would have expected it to just go on the Mac B desktop. Is there a way to do this sugarsync like??
In my Mac A Documents, I now have a new subfolder called "Mac B Documents" full of everything from Mac B. Vice Versa on Mac A. So everything is doubled.
Is this just how iCloud works or did I do something incorrect?
Thanks for any help.
