    Hello jwsgc,

Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. It's my understanding the Wi-Fi on your iPad Air 2 unexpectedly turns off. You've done a great job trying to get this resolved on your own. I can surely understand your aggravation. I would like to help.

Since the issue persisted after reinstalling the iOS, it's possible the content is the cause. To test this you'll need to erase the iPad and set it up as new. I definitely don't want you to lose any valuable data. Please make sure you back up first. After you've set up as new, test to see if the issue still occurs.

    • If the issue persists, you might want to contact Apple Support.
    • If the issue is resolved, sync one type of content at a time back to your device. For example, if you had an issue playing music, add songs from iTunes and confirm that they will play. If your contacts weren't loading successfully, add the contacts back. After each sync, test to see if the issue has returned.

How to erase your iOS device and then set it up as a new device or restore it from backups

    Have a wonderful day!

Try uninstalling ipass and boingo. They dont seem to be compatible with iOS 10 yet.

I Just updated my iPad MH321LL/A to iOS 10.0.2. When it rebooted, the wifi was turned off. I turned the wifi back on.  iPad was acting buggy. In app switches didn't seem to be working, or very slow to respond. I shut down, then restarted the iPad. Wifi was turned off again. I turned it on again.

Now I see it just randomly shuts off every once in a while. Doesn't matter what app I'm in. I wouldn't have updated the OS if I wasn't being bothered some much by the update prompts. Now I regret updating it. Had to write this in Evernote first, to make sure I didn't lose what I wrote on Safari in this question submission form.

I'll try backing up, erase, and start as new later on
