Q: distnoted CPU Runaway...

Mavens,

On Thursday, 15 Oct 2015, I updated Pages, Numbers and Keynote.

  • Not sure if this update is related to a new problem in El Capitan (10.11), or not.

Since the update, I've had to force shutdown and reboot my iMac (27-inch) ~4 times. On three occasions the system was so locked up, Activity Monitor didn't respond. A few moments ago (the fourth occurrence), I was able to determine that disnoted is the culprit.

Any ideas as to how to remedy this issue?

Thanks!

I have a problem : every 2 or 3 or 4 days my computer (el capitan) is blocked with in the Activity Monitor distend 225,3%, sysmond 97,4% etc… If I see the console, i see a lot of :

screensharingd[41201] Authentication: FAILED :: User Name: N/A :: Viewer Address: 222.186.56.199 :: Type: VNC DES

    etc...

I force to quit distend and it was OK to continue to work on my computer.

But I don't want the same thing will come again.

    What I must do ?

I need always Screen Sharing, because  I work sometimes from my home to my office.

    Thanks.

Upgrade to macOS Sierra. This issue was resolved in that release.
