Q: Storage almost Full message appearing constantly on my iPhone 4

Yes may be a stupid question BUT i can't find this anywhere online. So I need a bit of help on this.

I get a pop-up on the screen every so often ...

Storage almost Full message appearing constantly on my iPhone 4 only AFTER updating to iOS5. After update iOS5 seems to have stolen nearly a BIG chunk of my iPhone's memory/storage for itself, so had to remove a number of apps to give myself at least 700mb free. Message pop-up still appears. I then removed yet more apps - note that with the old iOS4's I never had this issue & all the apps I was removing now worked perfectly fine on the phone!

Then had over 2gb free & yet I was STILL getting the message. My iCloud is 100% free (ie 5gb available). Storage in settings/useage shows up as 2gb+ free.

So what's going on???

The pop-up states: "Storage Almost Full you can manage your storage in Settings."

Dell PC, Windows 7, 64 Bit

You are right I did not everything. I did not restore my phone to factory settings, yet! Because "Reset to factory settings" is a solution to all Apple problems!

And how about I write a fair review about my experience with apple in social communities and see if my 100K followers care or not.

BTW, thanks for your "customer support", again!

I turned off the icloud backup, backed up to my computer and the 50+gig taken up by "other" on my iPhone disappeared. I have an iPhone 6+ (128g) and I updated to 9.3 this morning. Had the issue before, usually connecting the phone to my computer and syncing solved the issue, but not this time. Googled, saw this thread and voila!

This back up icloud, etc, etc...did not work for mine. I have very little on my icloud storage. I have very little on my phone. Period.

When I try and send a video to my email or do anything with a video or even a picture, it sometimes gives me the storage almost full warning. The stupid phone won't do anything after that.

I have deleted every picture on it.

I have an iPhone 4s 16gb - to manage my storage I turn off and delete many apps - my iPhone backup is 2.2GB

one time I turn off go back next day to look and they are turned back on

another time I go back to look and same apps turned back on say no data

go back again and all turned back on again showing data size - what gives?

result of turning off app & delete their backup it now tells me next back up size 465mb

next time I get a result of backup options spinning and spinning wont show me anything?

my latest backup shows 2.2gb - what happens if I delete the backup - would I be able to restore if need be?

if backup deleted from my phone - would iTunes still have the 2.2gb backup in the cloud perhaps?

I have been having this problem lately with my mini iPad. My storage is supposed to be 12+, I used to download so many videos and apps and never had any storage problem. Now it's been saying that your storage is full.

I deleted most of my apps, and storage is till saying it is already 12. Really?!!

Last month I had tens of undeleted pictures and videos and no complain of storage was there whatsoever. What happened Apple Inc.?

    Is it your new updates?

By the way, tuning iCloud backup on and off didn't help at all!

I'm now googling for an answer or a solution and this link came up. So many other customers are having the same problem then! Again, is it an update issue or what?

As an educator, I need to download lots of things daily, I'm stuck now for a long time!

I found this possible fix. Now all I have had time for so far was step 1 on the last page as I am quite busy - I have moved all photos and videos to my desk top.  I will do the next step when I get the chance. ( have to manage those photos and videos first as I had allot.)  Then will move to step 2 -- READ THE WHOLE THING FIRST SO YOU DO NOT MAKE AN ERROR -- Good Luck ... If deleting pictures and apps doesn't help much and you have installed Telegram app on your phone, I may have the solution for you.
If you go to Manage Storage menu you will notice Telegram is only using around 32MB memory however this is not true. Telegram consume a huge memory for cache. I just made 10 GB free space by deleting Telegram cache. Go to Telegram>Settings>Chat Settings>Cache Settings>Clear Cache.

ok, so I followed all the steps and this has worked for me -- go to the last page and read it first as that is where the steps are all listed.  IT WORKS = no more alerts !    Here is the link:  http://www.payetteforward.com/icloud-storage-full-never-pay-for-icloud-backup-ag ain/
