Q: How to unidentify faces on photos 2.0

Hi ,

In Photos 2.0 , when you go to : People  > Add : How to get rid of the faces of all the people I don't know and don't want to identify ? I've regrouped all the faces of my friends and family. But all there's left are some faces still unidentified. Some of them aren't even people the app was mistaken and some squares are all grey when it's supposed to be a face !

I can only add faces and not remove the faces of the people I don't know. So when I add new pictures of my family, when I go in People > Add > I need to scroll up and down until I can finally find the faces of those I know.

Can anyone help me  to find a solution ? Thanks

Here's what I have : Grey squares , faces I don't know and pictures of people I don't wanna add.

How to get rid of them ? Thanks

You can make all wanted faces favorites and hen check show favorites only

Right now there is a bug but after it is fixed you can open photos and click on the x to remove the face (doing this now leaves a blank face in your suggestions so wait)

    You can ignore them

The gray thumbnails with a "1" below them may be faces on photos that are hidden. Check the photos in the "hidden" album, if they are having unnamed faces. Enable the option "View > Show face names". Then you will see the circles wth a name tag overlaid on the photos.

You may also be seeing gray thumbnails, if you deleted a detected face by clicking the "x" on the faces circle. This will nt remove the face completely. Only the thumbnail will be left behind - it looks like a bug. I would not delete faces this way right now, until this bug has been fixed.

To get rid of the unwanted strangers, you could add them all and then select them all, ctrl-click, and hide these persons.

They will be moved to the hidden section.  It has one drawback however. The photos containing the hidden persons will not be used in the memories. This might exclude your favorite photos from the memories, if there is some stranger in the background, who has been hidden.
