Q: Synching Issue of Faces from Mac to iPhone
Hi and tnxs for reading.
I have all my Faces/Persons organised on my Mac running macOS Sierra and the latest Photos version.
After iTunes synching with iPhone I have the following issues:
1: on my iPhone I have 2 different Person folders: one called "Persons from my Mac", correctly showing names and well organised, and another called "Persons", which is grouping photos of the same persons without showing names, sometimes showing multiple groups of photos for the same person in different situations, as if they were unrecognised persons, as it happens in Photos on the Mac when we select the "+" of add person. "Persons from Mac" cannot be modified whatsoever, while "Persons" have a preferred person group on top like in Photos on the Mac and feature to group them and so on... what is the reason of all this differences... it looks quite confusing, not clear or handy to me...
2: on "Persons from my Mac" the thumbnail are not synched with the same used on the Mac.
Tnxs for the help.
Regards.

Hello Jet787,
I think the album "Persons" is the one created on the iPhone by itself with the new recognition feature in iOS 10. Although any modification in this album won't sync across your devices due to privacy issues.
The album "Persons from Mac" is the one created during the import. You cannot delete or edit on your iPhone. It edit itself at each synchronisation with iTunes.
If you want to sync "Persons" across your devices use iCloud Photo Library on all your devices and in Photos on your Mac add the name of the person as a keyword.
