Q: How to increase font on CNN app in iOS 9

I have the iPhone 5S with iOS 9.2 on it and I also have the CNN app on it. The font is too small on the CNN app so I have to use reading glasses to see it. I have already gone into the settings - general - accessibility-larger text- and changed it gradually all the way to the largest size but the CNN app font stays small. How can I increase it? Thanks, Martha

Does anyone else have problems using the Dynamic font for your CNN mobile app like I do? My iPad using iOS 7 will increase the font size in CNN, my mini iPad using iOS 8.3 will do it, but not using ios 9.2 on my iPad. The Message app and mail font and some others apps it works fine for but not CNN. (on my phone)

It could be a change in the CNN app. Check to see if you are running the same version of the app on all devices. Also, if my memory serves me correctly, there is a CNN app for the phone and a separate one for the iPad, so it could be a difference in the programming.

ChrisJ4203, I deleted the CNN app from my phone and downloaded the only one the APP store showed for the iPhone but the problem remains. I can't find out whether its the iOS system 9.2 on my phone that's doing this since the accessibility dynamic font works for a few other apps but not all. All I know is the older versions I had on my iPads work. Can you increase the font on your phone or don't you have it on your phone?

I just checked, and it does not appear that the text size changes with Settings on my phone. I'm on a 6S with iOS 10.0.2. I'm checking my iPad and will edit this after that.

EDIT:  In checking with the app on my iPad Mini 4 with iOS 10.0.2, the text size changed with dynamic text. It may be that the one for the iPhone will not change.

You're welcome. There is a separate CNN app for the iPhone and the iPad. So, I'm thinking the iPhone app does not support the dynamic font. That seems to be what I was able to prove tonight with my two devices, since I've got the two different ones installed on my devices. Take care.

That's the only explanation I can think of too since we both have the same experience with the two apps - one for the phone and one for the iPad. And we have different iOS systems on our phones too! Yes you did prove it!
