    Hi

The Apple Watch User Guide is available here:

    https://help.apple.com/watch/

It includes reference to Series 2 features, where appropriate.

Thanks, Jonathan. I had found that site but was hoping to be able to download it to read offline on iPad. My watch is on order. There is a guide for Series 1 which can be downloaded in PDF to iBooks

HI Jonathan, thanks for all the help you provide here. I would like to add that while the online and iBooks Watch user guides contain much helpful information, they are not totally up-to-date with Watch OS 3. In the process of setting up my new Watch Series 2, I've been frustrated by much of the outdated information in those manuals. For instance, if you're looking for information on how to set up the Dock, you won't find it if you search manuals for the word "Dock". It was only by going through the downloadable manual page by page that I discovered the old term was Glance. An up to date site to find support is Apple Watch - Official Apple Support

Searching for Dock (for example) in the online User Guide directs you to Open Apps, which explains the feature in detail:

JJonathan, you are so right! I misspoke when I said I'd searched the online manual. Odd that Apple has two parts of their support site for Dealing with Watch issues.  I think I was so disgusted with having to put so much effort into hunting for that answer, I just gave up once I saw the old info in the manual I downloaded from iBooks. I bow to your superior wisdom!   My frustration was compounded when I couldn't get some of the setting changes I was making on my iPhone to show up on my watch, and ultimately had to do a reset (but not erase everythin, thank goodness) of the watch to get the correct settings to take. I do wish Apple would put as much effort into releasing updated user manuals both online and to download, and with properly coordinated links, at the same time they release new devices. I don't necessarily want to have to go online every time I want look something up (heresy, I know).  But its been this way since I can remember with Apple, which is to say a long time! Anyhoo, glad we've got that sorted out. Thanks.
