Q: No signal iPhone 7 plus

I Was able to find an iPhone 7 plus black, worked well all day went to sleep and next morning no cell signal actual message was No Service.  Tried resetting network services, remove the SIM card, resetting the phone.  Tried same sim in another phone and it works.  Seems to be a similar,at issue to those with the airplane mode issue.  Now there is no stock of the phone I want and I'm stuck with a dead paper weigh.  Any ideas?

Same story with me on iPhone 7 with sim on 3UK and yes no 4G stable, very poor network coverage in comparison with iPhone 6 and 6s. Just got the phone yesterday and noticed already. Tonight will travel and test it in different places to see how will handle. Btw I did found that if I choose manual network selection keeps more stable connection on 4G LTE, when in automatic mode keeps switching to 3G.

    To update:

iPhone 7+ 128GB Black w/ Verizon. NYC based (Brooklyn & Queens)....

As mentioned before, same issue occurs as all is reporting. No service, mainly while being out and about. The problem happens with VoLTE turned on (HD Calling) on the phone itself. Right now it's off on the phone, still on my account on the network! Not something I am fond of doing, as I've grown accustomed to simultaneously using phone/data.

It's mainly while simultaneously using Waze. I do not use other car navi apps. Now there was mention about GPS being the common denominator as well as VoLTE. To add, I don't know how GPS functionality would be on an app like Waze vs Map My Ride/Walk/Run etc. I use Map my Ride for 1 Hr+ and 15+ miles at a time with no disruption in service. The functionality of Map my ride is to record bike rides, not direct you. GPS technology is not my speciality, so maybe someone can clarify the difference between the two apps?

I also would like to add, that Apple as well as Verizon both advertise faster network and internet. Both wifi is no better, and Verizon's advanced LTE feels non-existent. This is an on going issue now for 14 days, nothings changed.

I wiped the phone clean, and I am not swapping the device if everyone who has done so is reporting no changes. Has anyone heard positive acknowledgement from Apple or Verizon? I am still awaiting Apple Care to call me back for a few days.

Verizon is aware of the issue and told me they have an open ticket with Apple. I would suggest you contact AppleCare and speak to a supervisor. After numerous calls to Apple and Verizon, I finally got a supervisor at Apple and he contacted the engineering team. I was asked to enable cellular logging via a piece of software they sent me. I hope to send in those logs today and follow up with them. I've read that other people have also been asked to send in their cellular logs. I don't know how widespread the issue is, but it's clearly a problem for more than just a few, from reading these forums.

That was helpful. I called Apple Care and asked for a supervisor and I am now also enrolled in a diagnostic session with Apple. Thanks.

Its seems to me that a large percentage or if not all of the new iPhone 7 and 7 Plus are affected from this network problems. Antenna bands has been reduced which can be possible reason for poor reception, or internal problems with the components. In each different case we have different level poor reception or no signal at all due to the fact that ppl live in different areas and in areas with low network coverage  iPhone switches to no signal, medium coverage switches to 3G and area with very good signal keeps switching between 3G and 4G constantly. There is a problem for sure here and hopefully Apple can fix that with software update, or recall all affected units.

I Have the same problem and when I called verizon they said they are having issue with cell towers in New York. That was last week and this weekend when I normally use my iPhone 7 jet black 128GB GPS I am still having the same issue.

OK, so I can also confirm that turning off voice over lte totally eliminates the lost signals. Made several duplicate routes home while using gps both with and without VoLTE and had no problems while it was off and significant problems while it was on.

Temporary fix, and it stinks to not talk and data together but better than dropping out completely for miles at a time.

In my case the voice over LTE switch did not make any difference at all.  I think maybe that helps on Verizon models, but not AT&T?  I have 256g 7 with AT&T.  It was replaced once already and the new one is doing the exact same thing, No Service.  Went to the Apple store to try and get another swap and they don't have any more in stock to with it.  I am just hanging on using my sim in my old iPhone 5 until Apple can release a software update that the Apple Store claims will fix it.

Thank you for the update. What stinks with Verizon is you need to have VoLTE enabled for Wi-Fi calling to work. Hopefully they will be able to fix existing phones with software/firmware update and not a replacement of the phone.

i also have this problem with my iPhone 7 Plus (Verizon). In general weaker Verizon service turns into no service at all, especially while using GPS.

At AppleCare suggestion, I called Verizon to confirm that there were no problems on their end. Spent over an hour confirming various settings with Verizon support, but no solution found. Verizon has forwarded my case to a technical team. I should hear from them by October 4th.

Until a week ago, I was using iPhone 5s on Verizon with solid service in the same area, even while using GPS.

We're having the same problem.  Never lost signal with iPhone 6s, but recent upgrade to iPhone 7 causing sporadic "No Signal" even when in a signal rich location.  WAZE app causes this to happen even more frequently.  A visit to Verizon led to a new SIM, with no improvement.  Just spent an hour on the phone with Verizon support - they played with settings but still no improvement.  Based on the 7 pages of thread I just read, I'm assuming this is a software glitch with the iPhone 7 and not a hardware issue.  Does anyone have any firm data on that, and/or if Apple knows for sure this has been formally reported as a known issue?

Apple certainly knows about the issue (as does Verizon), but it's always a good idea to call Apple Care so they're aware of how many people it's affecting.
