Q: My 2010 Macbook Pro, kernel panics, and graphics cards

Macbook pro 2010 - history has crashed sporadically for a number of years but seems to be getting more often.  Error always reads graphics cards, but as not sure about computer language, that is about all I can deduced.

Went to Genius Bar, said there was no issues with computer.  I thought maybe by changing to a ssd samsung pro 850, and doing clean install it might improved.  Tried that - no joy.  Tried an install from timemachine back up new macbook pro, which works a dream - still no joy, old bluey keeps on crashing

So is this the discreet graphics card or additional?  Thought I would try only running computer on only the high powered graphics of inbuilt discreet HD Intel, but found that the switching ability was not enabled anyway, so it could not be the N. . . . .  graphics card.  Thought I would tick ability to switch in hope this worked and stopped kernel panic = answer - NO!  Hmm

So have deduced (maybe) that the problem must be with HD Intel built in discreet graphics????  Hmm.

Question - is it possible to change the inbuilt graphics card, and if so how?  Please help, as at a loss.

MacBook Pro, OS X El Capitan (10.11.6), Mid 2010, ssd Samsung pro 850

As far as I know, the MBP will always use the NVIDIA card when you deselect the auto switch function in Energy settings. So I bet it is that card that is failing. And besides: if it were the internal HD processor, there would be no way to exchange it.
